Applied Behavior Analysis:

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a scientifically proven teaching methodology used to develop data-based individualized programming for children and adults.

ABA utilizes the components of assessment, identification of objectives, systematic instruction and data analysis in order to teach individuals functional skills. ABA methodology can provide instruction in a variety of areas including behavior, life skills, self-help skills, social skills academics, leisure activities and communication.

Experience and research has shown that ABA strategies are effective in promoting the development of new skills. ABA instruction includes the techniques of discrete trial training for novel skill acquisition, as well as the use of incidental teaching procedures to promote maintenance and generalization of learned skills into the natural environment.

Referrals are made by families or school districts as well as other service providers. During this process basic information is provided including contact person's name, child's name, date of birth and contact phone number and address. Information will be sent out including contract and schedule of fees.

Intake Process:

Once a contract is in place, the intake process will begin. Developmental, education and/or functional behavioral assessments are conducted, as well as interviews and observations within the home and/or school setting.

Program Design:

Based upon the results compiled through assessment and the interview process, a home program plan will be developed. This plan will include individualized objectives and teaching strategies developed and outlined in order to target specific skills. These programs will be the foundation for direct service instruction.

Direct service sessions will teach children the individualized skills outlined in the home program plan. Sessions begin following the program design phase.
